Cancel a bill
Cancel a bill when it was made by mistake or the sale should not continue.
Before you start
- Open the correct shop.
- Check the bill number, customer, items, and payment.
- Decide if items should go back to stock.
Steps (counter bill)
- Open Billing History.
- Find the bill.
- Tap Cancel bill.
- Choose:
- Restore to inventory — put items back in stock and keep the bill under Cancelled.
- Remove permanently — put items back in stock and delete the bill from history.
- Confirm.
Steps (online order bill)
Cancelling an online bill also removes the online order from your Online Orders history and from the customer’s order list. This cannot be undone.
- Open Billing History.
- Find the online bill (it shows as Online).
- Tap Cancel bill.
- Read the warning.
- Type the word online in the box.
- Then choose restore stock, or remove the bill.
Until you type online, the cancel buttons stay locked.
What happens next?
- Counter bill: the bill is cancelled (or removed). Stock is restored if you chose that.
- Online bill: same for the bill, and the online order is removed for you and the customer. They will not see that order in their history.
Having trouble?
- If Cancel bill is not shown, check your staff role in Roles and access.
- To cancel an order before you make the bill, use Cancel an online order.
